Dental Implants Costs

Experience and advances in techniques have had a favorable effect on Dental Implants Costs to the benefit of patients. Dental Implants offer an attractive solution for many of those dealing with the discomfort of dentures, missing or deteriorating teeth, says Dr Alex Fibishenko from the Centre for Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry in Melbourne, Australia. Implant-supported replacement teeth are permanent, look better and unlike previous dental implant options, may take only a few days to complete. Many people have been put off getting implants due to the traditionally high associated Dental Implants Costs as well the length of time it took to perform. But with new techniques using less dental implants and avoiding, in most cases, bone grafting dental implants costs are no longer prohibitive or exclusive to the rich and famous. The true value, however, is often in the impact it often has on an individual’s quality of life!

Dr Alex Fibishenko says "There are a lot of denture wearers out there, particularly from the baby boomer era as there was a very high extraction rate in the 1950s and 60s", …dentures may look ok but they can be incredibly uncomfortable, making it difficult to eat, taste food, talk or feel confident in social outings.

"Traditionally implant treatment involved many stages over an extended period of up to 2 years and the associated Dental Implants Costs were high. Today, modern dental implant design and state-of-the-art surgical techniques allow most patients to have fixed replacement teeth fitted at or within a few days from the surgery" says Dr Alex Fibishenko.

"To get it right a detailed work-up is done before the surgery to design your smile. After the implants are placed, teeth are set in wax in Madame Tussauds style, and tried in for fine-tuning. You can see exactly what you are getting. It’s completely individualized."

According to Dr Fibishenko, patients who have lost or who are about to lose all or most of their teeth may often have a full set of replacement teeth reliably supported by as little as 4 implants. This "All On 4" procedure (ALL teeth ON 4 dental implants) is a relatively new technique where the back dental implants are placed at an angle to overcome bone deficiencies and often avoids the need for bone grafting. Since less dental implants are used within a quicker timeframe by comparison to traditional methods, the Dental Implants Costs for full set teeth replacement is somewhat reduced while still delivering optimal results. It also allows for simpler and less costly maintenance and mostly uncomplicated cleaning. Click here to learn more about All On 4.

All On 4

When a single tooth is being replaced, the cost of a dental implant crown is approximately $5,500 AUD. When a full set of 12 teeth replacement is required, this is most often achieved with an implant bridge supported by 4 dental implants and within 2 to 3 days. The Dental Implants Costs for the "All-On-4" procedure is on average $21,500-26,000 AUD for a full upper or lower teeth replacement at the Centre for Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry in Melbourne.

"A good smile improves a person’s self esteem, it improves their confidence, …It’s quite amazing to see them a couple of weeks later, what a difference it has made, not just to their teeth. The Dental Implants Costs never appears to be a complaint after their treatment" says Lilly, Dr Alex Fibishenko’s treatment co-coordinator.

To receive an individualised treatment plan that includes the Dental Implants Costs an appointment is required for a full assessment. A Consultation with Dr Alex Fibishenko is $95 and includes an itemised treatment plan. As part of the consultation process, we often need to take x-rays to assess the condition of your teeth and jaw-bone. These 3-D X-Rays to assess suitability for implants are bulk-billed to Medicare for Australian residents.
